It’s both good and bad. I keep hearing how the surgery to put the port is just supposed to feel like soreness, which is not at all what I am feeling right now: shortness of breath, windedness, and pain. I reached out to the team, and they advised that if my shortness of breath continues, I should go to urgent care. I am concerned about that, frankly. I wonder if it’s also just the pain medication I’ve been put on as well. It’s only for 5 days, and tomorrow is the last day of medication. Last night, I guess I didn’t eat enough and took my pill and severely regretted it – I was so nauseous, dizzy, and incapacitated. I was still sound of mind, but I was basing my symptoms on how well I could manage.
I’ll continue to monitor; hopefully, everything will improve over the weekend. One thing that certainly has NOT helped has been the anxiety at work – this is undoubtedly a factor that is negatively impacting me and certainly exacerbating everything right now.
I will try to fake it till I make it. Otherwise, I will go to the urgent care to make sure everything is okay if I am short of breath, sweating, dizzy, and disoriented.
